Did you ever notice how your skin reacts when the seasons change? You may have noticed your skin becoming drier and flakier in the winter. Skin problems can result from overexposure to cold temperatures, such as:

  • Dryness
  • Dehydration
  • inflammation
  • Lips that are chubby
  • Flakiness
  • Bleeding

Worst, it can cause skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. The winter season is dry and lack of moisture. This causes dry skin.

HOW YOUR SKIN IS IMPORTANT TO YOU BODY

Your skin is the largest organ of your body that has direct contact with the outside. Your skin is essential for protecting your body. You should make sure it stays as healthy as you can. Winter skincare is more important during winter. You could develop skin conditions that can harm your appearance if you don’t have enough protection.

STEPS TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR WINTERSKIN

Although you cannot control the weather and your prolonged exposure to it for too long, you can prepare your skin to be healthy. These tips can be used as a self-care routine.

Keep hydrated.

Hydration is maintained inside by drinking plenty of water. This is one of the best and most effective ways to keep your skin hydrated in winter.

Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing that is not irritating.

Avoid wool and other rough fabrics. Wearing wool or any other rough fabric can cause skin irritation and itching. Instead, wear something soft and comfortable that can cover your skin. Layer it with a warm jacket. You can also protect your feet and hands from cold weather by using quality gloves, socks and boots.

Use a good moisturizer and mask.

After washing your skin, apply a good moisturizer or serum to your skin. This will help improve the health and smoothness of your skin. This will help to protect your skin from irritation and dehydration.

Use sunscreen.

It is important to apply sunscreen in winter, not just on sunny days. The UV radiation from snow and ice can reach up to 90%. These harmful rays can harm your skin. Sunscreen is important not only during summer, but also in winter. Sunscreen is an essential part of everyday life.

Use humidifiers.

Exposure to dry air can cause dry skin. Humidifiers are natural moisturizing agents that help keep the skin from drying out or becoming dry. A humidifier is a great option to reduce winter skin dryness.

Limit your shower time and use gentle soaps.

Winter can lead to skin drying by showering longer than usual. This is because the skin loses its natural oil. It is fine to shower at a lukewarm temperature for between 5-10 minutes. Gentle soaps should be free from alcohol and fragrance. Moisturizers and soaps that contain moisturizers are better.

Contact your Skin Care Professional.

Consult your skin care professional if you have severe skin conditions. They will recommend products and a winter skin care routine that is suitable for you.

Prevention is always better that cure. Take good care of your skin to prevent it from developing severe skin conditions. Your skin will thank you for being kind to it.
